Yesterday I went to the gym and took a new class - called CanDo Sculpt with a gal named Shannon. Whew - it was tough. We used body bars, and hand weights. We did a variety of exercises that covered every major body part. I have to say, my ass is burting bigtime today! My quads, hamstrings and glutes are all very sore. Later I went to the pool with Saxon. That might sound like an afternoon of relaxation, but let me tell you, there's nothing relaxing about chasing a 2 year old from one toddler pool to another. Our pool has a splash pool and a 1-foot wading pool, and he likes to run from one to the other - and back again! Seriously, I should wear a podometer to see how many steps I take at that place. And that evening, a walk with Charlotte.
Today, it was my favorite - kickboxing with Cheryl in the morning. I introduced you to her in an earlier post. That class gets my heart rate soaring and makes my face turn bright red. I'm surprised they don't have EMS on speed dial for how close to death I look when I walk outta there. Afterward, I did some ab work (crunches) and lifted shoulders. (5lb dumbells for 3 sets each of shoulder presses and upright rows). Then it was time to get weighed and measured for this little adventure toward greatness. See my next post for the results!!
