Anyway, back to my training session - it covered all body parts, and already I feel sore. A good thing (no complaints!). This one item really worked my core: she had two little round fabric discs that she laid on the floor. I got down into pushup position, with my feet on the discs. I had to "drag" my legs behind me as I used my arms to walk my body across the floor. That was pretty tough. Other abdominal exercises included goodies on the ball, as well as Cheryl standing over me, and pushing my extended legs back to the floor, as I lifted them.
We did a bunch of hand weight exercises for my shoulders, biceps and triceps too. And the hardest part for me, the leg stuff - like walking lunges, knee lifts on a bench, squats with a weighted bar, etc.
It felt good when she told me that I was "easy to train," because my form was good, and I followed her instructions easily. I told her that it might be hard to believe looking at me now, but once upon a time I was pretty good at this stuff. And ya know what? The body doesn't forget. I may have let myself go the last two years, but my inner Xena Warrior Princess is itching to get out, and my body is along for the ride!
