I found a new favorite goodie! The Chocolate Peppermint Stick Luna Bar. I was first introduced to Luna bars during a Stroller Strides class with Ana. She handed them out to the moms participating. I believe they are a national partner with Stroller Strides.
So today I was in Trader Joes, and found a pretty good sized variety of Luna Bar flavors. I was really hoping to get a White Chocolate Macadamia Nut variety, but they didn't have it. However, this Chocolate Peppermint Stick is so yummy! It really tasted like candy!
The Luna motto is "Whole Nutrition for Women." This bar has 9 g. of protein (perfect for that rule of getting in your protein within 15 minutes of weight-training), and 3 g. of fiber. One bar has 180 calories, 2.5 g. saturated fat, 0 g trans fat, 26 g. total carb. The package says they are high in calcium and folic acid (good for those women looking to get pregnant). And it's rich in antioxidants. And at just 99¢ you can't beat it for a nutrition bar!
