Today's Exercise

I'm almost 4 weeks into this adventure toward renewed sexiness, and I'm getting better everyday.

Today I whooped some imaginary ass in my kick-boxing class. Finally, I had the opportunity to try a class with Albert. He had guest-appeared in my usual Tuesday kick-boxing class a few weeks ago, and his intensity and Bruce Lee kung-fu moves were infectious! So, when I walked in and saw him subbing for the usual instructor, I was psyched.

In his hour of body chops, jumping knee thrusts, kicks, and punches, I felt my heart growing stronger by the second - I swear! The oxygen was flowing, and my body was on fire! We did several sets of bent over punches toward the floor, followed by thrusting our one knee at the invisible opponent down on the ground. Pity that poor sucka!

After his class I stayed for the next class - Body Pump. Body Pump is an hour of lifting weights with a bar and plates. It covers all major body parts. I upped my weight today and can feel it already. My shoulders are getting sore, and my legs and glutes hurt as well. A buff woman named Shannon teaches this class, and I have to say, that just watching her is all the inspiration I need. She has the legs of a warrior woman - strong, toned and fabulous. I hope to wear the same kind of booty-shorts she wears and look like her someday, soon. In a week would be good.

The rest of the day involved plenty of play time with Saxon. Have you ever noticed how much it hurts your ass to bend over and push around a kid on a tricycle? And a walk for Charlotte of course. I can't forget my loyal work-out partner! I think we're both getting leaner!
