We parked around 56th and 7th, and walked a few blocks to 5th avenue so we could take a little 4 year old for an American Girl doll. Then we walked about 10 blocks to FAO Schwarz, the toy store. Got Saxon his first R/C car there. Then we walked some more, until we decided to get a cab and go to Chinatown. We walked all along Canal street, buying handbags and Tiffany knockoffs. Then we stopped and got some dinner. After, we walked some more, before we got a cab back to the car. And then it was home for rest.
Sunday we drove to the Bronx zoo, and walked until our feet hurt. Then we drove to Battery Park and saw the Statue of Liberty. Ground Zero was a short distance away, so we walked there to see the construction work being done. Afterwards, we hiked back to the parking garage, and drove home. It was a quick freshen up and then we went to dinner and had some delicious italian food. I had fettucine with sausage, peppers, and onions in a marinara sauce. We then went home, picked up Charlotte and went for a great long walk by the river. It was dark when we got home.
All-in-all, I did eat some things that were probably not the best choices this weekend, but I also walked my ass off! And I had a blast with my friends. So, I think it was all worth it!
