She Inspires Me: She's a Mom, Actress, Model and Business Owner

The first person to be featured in my new series, "Who Inspires You," is Kimberly Kerr.

I've known Kim for what feels like forever. We met at a salon 8+ years ago, where she was working, and she's done my hair ever since. She even did my hair for my wedding. Today, she owns her own salon in York, PA, called Salon Synergy. And I must say, I have access to some fabulous establishments here in NJ/NY, and I still prefer to drive back to PA and have Kim do my hair!

But, the real reason Kim inspires me is her endless energy and enthusiasm for so many things in life. Especially fitness. For as long as I know her, she's always been in great shape. She exercises regularly, and keeps busy with her daily life. In addition to working full-time, with her business, she also has a daughter, a husband and home to care for. As if that were not enough, Kim is an aspiring actor. She's had several roles in movies, TV and commercials, and travels to read for parts. She's also worked as a model too. I love sitting in her chair as she foils my hair, and listen to the latest role she is working on! (Secretly I worry that she'll make it to the big screen, and I'll be forced to find someone else to do my hair! Just kidding, Kim.)

Recently, she even made the time and commitment for a fitness competition. This is no easy task. It meant clocking hours at the gym everyday, and preparing a special diet of food to take along to work, and at home. And as you can see from her photos, she looked amazing! Like I said, Kim has always looked great, but when she was preparing for this competition, she really changed her physique. She cut weight, and her muscles were ripped. I remember walking into the salon a few weeks before the show, and her back was so awesome, I couldn't stop staring!

She inspires me because she is always striving for greatness, and isn't afraid of trying new things. For instance, she is now going to begin teaching group fitness classes at Phases gym in York. What class you ask? I think it's called "Ladies' Night Out," and is going to be a "sexy dance class." Sign me up!! If anyone can teach ya to throw on the sex appeal, it's Kim. And dancing is such great exercise, that it's a recipe for results and fun!

So folks, the next time I am feeling too tired for the gym, I will think about Kim and get my ass moving. If she can do manage all of this, I can surely work a little harder too.
Thanks Kim, for always making me feel great after a new do, and for inspiring me to be better!!
