It's like a lightbulb has switched on!

This morning I jumped out of bed. Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it felt easy to get up and at 'em today. I was able to easily prepare my Velocity breakfast: a greek yogurt for protein (Trader Joe's makes a brand I can choke down), 1 cup of baby spinach & 1 cup of grape tomatoes for my veggie, dressed with 1 tablespoon of olive oil for my good fat. Even though this wasn't so much a breakfast I might truly enjoy, I busied myself at the computer while I ate and looked at this meal as fuel for my upcoming workout this morning.

And then it hit me - I feel really good. Super good. And I truly think it has to be this new way of eating. I've always worked out. Anyone who knows me well, knows that the gym and I have always been best buds. BUT, dieting and I are pretty much strangers. I don't like to diet. I don't like to count calories, weigh food, and cut out anything. It's too much work. Some people can do it - but I'm not one of them. Or so I thought. But, in starting this Velocity program, I am looking at things differently now. It doesn't have to be so hard. And it's not. I can do it. I am doing it. And I feel so friggin good!! I wish this enlightenment had found me a long time ago!!

But now that the light bulb is bright, I can clearly see the benefits and more importantly, FEEL the benefits of proper eating. And it feel's awesome!
