What kind of exercise I got today

Today was really a pretty average day. Well, average for this past month, when I got the fire under my butt to really get back into shape.

I started the morning with a spin class. A gal named Shannon taught it. It's my second spin class with her, and just witnessing her amazingly toned and muscular legs in action is enough to make me work harder! After class, I went down the hallway to her next hour's class, Can Do Sculpt. I've had this a few times too, and knew what I was in for. It's an incredibly challenging full-body sculpting session - using body bars, hand weights, and a step bench. Today she really focused on the legs, especially inner and outer thighs. We did a lot of exercises that involved lunging off the step, and balancing on one leg. Whew - the pain!!

Later in the afternoon, I took Saxon to the swimming pool, and chased him around for a good hour and half as well. While it wasn't intensely cardio, it was more than what I would have got sitting in my desk chair.

Overall, a good day!
