Growing a Garden

Next Summer I want to grow my very first garden. Except I really don't know much about growing vegetables. Any advice from my friends on good resources to get the basics?
Space will be limited, so bear that in mind. Maybe there's a good book on small vegetable garden basics someone can recommend?

    hey Traci-I grow tomatoes, beans, and peppers in big gardening pots out back. We do not have a lot of lawn space and I am not into the weeding and upkeep of a "real" garden. I keep all my herbs in there too. I do know that lettuce, cukes, and squashes seem pretty easy to grow and grow abundantly for those around me.....hope this helps! Jeanine
